Sounds like you've got your weekends sussed Fish4fun, nothing wrong with a few beers on a Friday night !!

Managed to watch football - Rangers - Celtic match was interesting, never a dull moment with those games.

Apart from that got my little boy's first passport sorted, talk about a money making exercise - £49.00 for a 5 month old - his picture isn't going to matter in a couple of months time when he changes even more so they are onto a right scam - I was looking for their mask on behind the counter but couldn't see it !!

Daylight robbery mark, everything should be free for that age surely.
Better take it out of his pocket money.

I agree Fish4fun, take it out of his pocket money or get him to start earning his keep - maybe get him fixed up with a window cleaning round - although I think he'd have to start on bungalows so he doesn't have to reach up too high as I don't think he'd reach the first step on a ladder !!

Could always get him a cherry picker mark.
Still got the cold frosty mornings here with snow still lying making it slippery and dangerous when trying to use a ladder, was using waterfed pole and the water is freezing up straight away as it hits the ground.

Never thought of that Fish4fun, good idea, or maybe some abseilling kit !!

Sounds like you are fighting against the elements again with the weather - not too bad down here now, very cold but no snow.

Sounds like you could do with a pair of ice skates with the water freezing.

I was looking at a website the other day and it had a range of wfp's that are like something from a James Bond film - they have a little lense at the head of the brush so you can see what you are doing from the ground way up high - very technical - don't know if this would take off, sounds like a good idea in theory being able to see from the ground - what do you think?

Hi JD/Fish4fun,

The link JD I found was on Window Cleaning Warehouse website.

I did think my imagination was running away with me at first Fish4fun !! - I do like a good Bond movie - maybe we'll see him under cover as a window cleaner using this tool in future films - you never know !!

Jd did you get that light brush you were after?do you use a stiff brush all the time or do you find the soft brushes can be good at certain times.

Hi fish4fun. I didnt get that light brush, i couldnt see it on the website. I use a standard vikan brush, but i now use the Hi-lo brush for cleaning gutters and soffits, its the perfect shape for that kind of job. I think the soft brush is ok for most domestic work, as long as the windows are not overly dirty or first cleans. What brush do you mainly use? What kind of waterfed pole do you use at the minute?

i use the hi-lo brush for some off my work especially the houses with big sills as it cleans them well.
I am also using another brush from a company called bayersan and it does a decent job.
The pole i am using at the momment is a ecoline cleaning systems which is a bit on the heavy side.
