Hi jd do you still use the vikan sill brush on your rounds,i have used one the last few months and get great results with it.

Ive changed to the vikan standard brush, as its a little lighter. Im looking to purchase the Superlite brush on Gardiners website, but im hesitant, as their P&P to N.Ireland is extortionate & they do not have the best customer service in the world! The problem is, the brush can only be bought from them, as it is their own product.

there is a brush with good reviews on the cleantech website, they sell their own products and they seem to get good reviews.
I bought a spare brush on ebay the make is bayersan i have been using it this week as i am doing windows which have the vents very close to the top of the windows and this brush just misses making contact with the dreaded vents.

I think cleantech are a very helpful outfit, but they really need to upgrade their website with more detail and bigger pictures. It puts me off ordering! Im glad you found a brush your happy with, is it lighter than the vikan?

Hi mark yeah im talking about cleantech which is in kilmarnock in scotland.
They have a good supply of all window cleaning goods be it waterfed or traditional.
Jd the brush is pretty light around the same a vikan, but they sell a sill brush and its a good bit cheaper than the vikan make.

No, i dont like buying from Gardiners! They charge an absolute mint to delivery to Northern Ireland! The postage costs as much as the goods your buying!

Hi Smartshine. If i wanted to order from soap National, then id have to pay a whopping £20.00 for the delivery of something as small as a scraper! Scandulous....

Hi JD,

Do you struggle with most suppliers in England on carriage when shopping about??

Re: brushes

The weather hasn't been too bad here smartshine, just spend 20mins or so in morning defrosting system a little. Are you getting it worse your side of the water? Hi Mark, i find the majority of Mainland suppliers charge laughable prices to Northern Ireland, a couple of suppliers though, like windowcleaningwarehouse for example are very reasonable indeed. A lot of the mainland companies spin the same old line " That its what the supplier charges them & they make no extra profit etc etc! The fact is, if they were prepared to make the effort, then you can find suppliers who will give far better & more reasonable deals! Surecleansystems in Omagh for example, they deliver to the Mainland for as little as £2.00 extra! A lot of companies don't have much of business in northern Ireland, so therefore cant be bothered to make the effort! I feel for certain, that there is a big market for those suppliers who are prepared to charge reasonable prices to supply goods to both the north & south of Ireland, including the channel islands. If you or I wanted to post a parcel from London To Belfast, we could post it for a few pounds, but the same parcel being delivered by some of these companies, they will charge you 10 times that! Apologies for ranting on here like a mad man, but it bloody frustrates me! These companies should be named & shamed!

HI jd ,smartsunshine, mark,on the subject of carriage i think you have the raw deal jd as here in scotland the carriage prices are good no matter where i buy my equiptment from,if you live in the highlands and islands in scotland you pay a few pounds more probably the same as you jd.
I BOUGHT A SECOND HAND PURE FREEDOM TROLLEY FROM EBAY AND IT S POSTAGE WAS 20 POUNDS!!

A trolley system delivered for £20 is reasonable fish4fun. Ive had bulky stuff delivered from ebay manys a time by private sellers & the prices are always good.
